NOVEMBER TRAINING

November will probably be a ‘long month of training’ starting Sun Oct 31 and lasting through Saturday Dec 4. We usually do have morning training and Step on T-Day so you can feel better about that pie! Put your turkey in the oven and head on down for a coed workout and any extra cardio you want to do. We’ll take off our normal Fri/Sat/Sun and another ‘week of days’ scattered throughout the month so that we don’t have to take one whole week off of classes/training. This should give you time to get those Christmas shopping weekends in, too, before my favorite holiday of the year, Christmas 🙂

NOVEMBER AEROBICS/YOGA

As noted the other day, we will no longer have Zumba or MixxedFit at AlamoShape, but we will keep Yoga and Step Aerobics going, along with our ShapeTraining program. For $49/month (or $7/class) you’ll get unlimited Step and Yoga. ShapeTraining ($149/ mo unlimited) meets every day with sessions starting as early as 6 am and some training as late as 630 pm (ask me about options for individual training throughout the day as well as later evening timeslots).

We’re hoping to add a few more yoga classes to the schedule (let me know if MWF 730 am interests you…the timechange is coming, you’ll already be awake, lol!) and possibly a few Step classes in the morning (MW 935 am??)

If you want to add our aerobics program to your ShapeTraining schedule it’s just $6/more a month (yep, that’s not a typo!)

Human Impacts on the Environment | National Geographic Society – National Geographic Society | National Geographic Society

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts can affect human behavior and can prompt mass migrations or battles over clean water. Help your students understand the impact humans have on the …

Flu shot and covid vaccine together

“If you do need a COVID shot (whether it’s your first, second or booster dose), the CDC says you can get it at the same time as your flu shot. That means you don’t have to choose between protecting yourself from COVID or the flu.”

If you are currently sick with Covid-19, however, you should wait about 2 weeks to get your flu shot in order for your immune system to mount a good response. https://www.sharecare.com/health/coronavirus/article/time-for-flu-shot-coronavirus-vaccine?
