Some people were thinking that two weeks from now gyms would be open again, but national recommendations to keep groups smaller than 10 people has been extended to April 30. New Mexico will most likely be hitting a peak in the number of cases confirmed by then, and even with proactive closures/social distancing we’re already on that trajectory with 237 cases today, 100 more than 3 days ago.
What I do know is that I’ve been planning for several different contingencies and we will be ready for you when the time comes. You’ll get credit for the training/classes you paid for in March (We’ll call it the month of Marpril!)
Until then get outside when you can, walk your dog more, show your kid how to ride a bike, and enjoy our amazing instructors doing Facebook live classes. Contact me if you have home equipment and need ideas for formatting workouts. —Rosemarie
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ABOUT RELIEF CHECKS
A calculator for how much you can expect is below. It starts with an assumption of $75,000, just enter in your AGI from 2018 or 2019 tax return if you’ve already done it.
When will the checks arrive? Late April is a good estimate.
Do I have to file a tax return? If you’ve filed one from 2018 or 2019, the disbursements will go off that.
If you don’t file taxes because you, say, earn Social Security, you still get the check.
Is the money taxable? No.

Face mask homemade
Whether it’s because you want a smaller one (for the kids) or a decorative one if it becomes a necessity to wear them out in public more often, or just a washable cover over the N95 that your nurse friend wears, here are some patterns. Some are quite involved, though I’ve included one made with a simple paper towel and rubber bands that would work in a pinch. Again, not ‘to code’ but some experts are saying if everyone would wear one we can reduce exposure. It wouldn’t hurt to know how to make them. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/how-to-make-face-mask-coronavirus_l_5e78cb2fc5b6f5b7c5483e17?uj
