New Yoga times
Sarah and Lee are back and Jen is staying, Yay!! The August yoga schedule will see Sarah on M & F at 1030 (Fri just 30 min), Lee on TTH at 830, and Jen on Wednesdays at 8:30. If you are a MWF training client feel free to do your Wed 835 training at another timeslot.
SHIELDS AREN’T GOING TO CUT IT
…Unless we have your card. You don’t have to wear any face covering at AlamoShape if we have copied your original Covid-19 vaccination card (though you may wish to wear one, mask or shield, as an extra precaution).
However, we will no longer allow face shields as a replacement for the vaccine at our facility. If you have not been fully vaccinated, you must wear a suitably protective mask. Please do not put our instructors at risk of losing their jobs by choosing this as your hill to die on. If you want someone to argue with about it, make an appointment with me, but let them teach their class in peace.
Members who are fully vaccinated should rest assured that they are not being exposed to the virus at our facility by non-vaccinated members who choose to wear the less protective shield as opposed to a mask. I do understand that this may reduce our classloads, and while we will miss you if you choose to stop attending AS, our member safety and comfort levels must be my main concern. If you paid for August and are reconsidering your membership please let me know as soon as possible so that I don’t cash your check.
AUGUST TRAINING
Starts tomorrow, Sun Aug 1 and ends Sat Aug 28. We will take off one Fri/Sat/Sun in August, for sure Sat/Sun Aug 21 and 22. Jake will be gone Aug 9-13, so no 6 am MWF that week.
Breakthrough Covid cases
A vaccine is not a golden shield, it is just one tool to help reduce severe illness and death from any disesase, though currently Covid-19 is our subject of discussion. This article explains the relatively low risks associated with breakthrough cases, but emphasizes the fact they are indeed happening.
