WHAT IS CIT?
Crisis Intervention Training and the APD is offering a free workshop to community members so that everyone can better understand how to help in a situation where mental trauma, schizophrenia, homelessness, dementia and many other challenging factors are at play. Diabetes Nutrition and Cooking Workshops
There is the option for in-person or virtual workshops.
The Otero County Extension Service is offering two Kitchen Creations diabetes nutrition and cooking workshops. Each workshop consists of four classes. Participants have the option of participating in a virtual workshop in February or an in-person workshop in April. Flyers for each of the workshops are attached and additional details are listed below.
Virtual Kitchen Creations Workshop (offered via Zoom)
Dates: Thursdays, February 3, 10, 17, 24, 2022
Time: 3:30 – 5:30 pm
To register: Go to https://survey.nmsu.edu/surveys/?s=HMDRCDNM9C, select Thursday afternoons in February starting at 15:30 (3:30pm) and complete the online registration forms.
In-Person Kitchen Creations Workshop (held at the Otero County Extension Service, 401 Fairgrounds Rd, Alamogordo)
Dates: Wednesdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27, 2022
Time: 4:00 – 7:00pm

The in-person workshop requires $10 registration fee to cover the cost of food supplies purchased for a hands-on kitchen lab.
